The Red Crane Gallery is operated by Janet Twigg-Patterson, an artist of over 30 years experience specialising in both Eastern and Western styles. The gallery focuses on themes from nature, in cluding plants, animals and landscapes. Classes are available for students of all levels.

Four galleries showcase the essence of the Red Crane Gallery - all works are available for sale:

• east - Chinese brush, traditional and modern
• west - watercolours and oil in European style
• north - animals and wildlife
• south - plants and nature

Classes are provided at the Red Crane Gallery studio in Canberra, Australia. These are provided in small groups encouraging students both as individuals and as a group, and incorprating studio workshops and occasional field classes. Individuals have the freedom to explore their own styles, while newcomers are provided with a learning framework that allows them to discover their own style.

An international artist with over 30 years experience, Janet Twigg-Patterson combines a love of art with a passion for nature. She has been at the forefront of applying Chinese brush painting styles to new subjects including Australian wildlife and landscapes. Janet has exhibited her works in major exhibitions in Australia, Malaysia and China. A series of of Janet's works is displayed in the Parliament House of Australia.

In addition to her work as an artist, Janet has been an active member of the art community, working professionally as an event coordinator at the National Gallery of Australia and the National Botanic Gardens, and organising private exhibitions and study tours.
